According to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Washington D.C. has the fourth-highest foreign-born population among its benchmark peers totaling 22.6 percent, below only Los Angeles, San Francisco and Houston. 14.4 percent of D.C.’s foreign-born population arrived in the United States in 2010 or later.
